Renew & Restore Your Smile
If you’re hoping to replace missing teeth with a secure, natural-looking solution, dental implants are the best choice. With implant dentistry, you gain a solid foundation for fixed or removable replacement teeth, whether you need a single-tooth implant or full arch implants.
The dental implant itself looks like a screw that is placed in your jaw; your dentist can then affix your permanent or removable restorations to the implant so they stay securely in place. Compared to alternate solutions like traditional dentures, dental implants are more stable and natural-looking. Our patients feel more confident knowing they can eat, smile, and go about their lives just as they would with their natural teeth.

What To Expect
The Implant Process
Consultation
First you’ll have a consultation with one of our doctors to go over your treatment plan and expected results.
Treatment
Next, your implants will be placed. This involves incisions into your gum to expose the bone and create enough space to place the implants. Don’t worry—you’ll receive local anesthesia to keep you comfortable throughout this process!
Next, the process of osseointegration must take place. This is the process of your implants and surrounding bone fusing together and healing. This often takes a few months. You’ll return to our office to check on the healing process, and have your restorations created, fitted, and placed.
Aftercare
We’ll provide you with a list of post-operative instructions, including the directive to stick with softer foods for several days after your implants are placed. Also, be sure to brush carefully during those first few days so as not to aggravate any swelling you experience. You can manage any pain or discomfort with over-the-counter pain medication.
FAQS
Am I a good candidate for dental implants?
Consulting with one of our doctors is the best way to know if you’re a good candidate for dental implants. In general, if you’re missing one or more teeth and want a stable foundation to permanently replace them, dental implants will be right for you. There are some instances where a patient does not have enough healthy surrounding gum tissue or bone to support a dental implant, but that can be evaluated during your visit.
Are dental implants permanent?
With proper care, your dental implants can and should last a lifetime. Proper oral hygiene habits such as consistent brushing and flossing will make a big difference in the longevity of your implants.
Why should I get dental implants?
Dental implants are a permanent solution to replace missing teeth that look and feel just like natural teeth. They’re more convenient and stable than using dentures or other options. Plus, most patients enjoy their dental implants for a lifetime!
